jots of randomness

I'm finally done organizing the posts on my wordpress account (I got it the other day, June 1) so this could be my last post here. :P hehehe Ang galing! It only took me a 3 days to finish all 400something posts though it got boring at a point so there might be some unrelated posts associated to a category. hehehe

Anyway, we finally figured the case of the auto hide/show rows. Yay! It probably would have taken us longer to finish it if not for the Account Manager's follow-up email. :) This week had been one of the loooongest but it's over now and what we have to deal with next week doesn't seem to be as intimidating. Btw, I officially don't have to tandim anymore. Weeeeeh!!! Ji had transferred to our team and will be taking over my post though most of my unfinished tasks had been assigned to Ross. Oh, there's a new developer too. Wala lang...

Sharon'll be leaving us tomorrow... :( meaning Det'll be the only person around to take care of the dogs. hehehehe :P

The other day, I heard some people chattering about while looking around the house. Turns out that they were here for an ocular and are actually considering buying the house! Geez! And we didn't even know that my mom really had plans of selling. The last time she talked about moving out was over a year ago and I didn't think that she was serious. If they'll be able to agree on the terms and the price, we might have to move out and rent for a couple of months or at least until her plans of having a new one built materialize.

Tomorrow's another workshop day for me. Eek! When will I ever understand and love accounting?! I might have to pass up on the last day of workshop which incidentally's the day of the orientation as well next Sunday. We'll see, though I've already told my supervisor at work that I'll be coming in tomorrow instead of Friday. I'm still not sure if I'd be able to join my sister and mom next weekend. I have my fingers (and toes) crossed.

After 6 loooong months, I've finally finished Anansi Boys. I actually read the first 4 chapters late last year, at the time when I was still looking for work but I got so busy and I never got the chance to get back to it after I started working. I got a phone call at around 11am yesterday and I never got to sleep again afterwards. Ang galing! Natapos ko. haha :)

I want to tryout for UPM but I'm afraid that my weak lungs'll stop me. I'm thinking of jogging every morning to prepare myself for it. I MIGHT start Monday.

Have I ranted about HOW MUCH I HATE DRIVING AT NIGHT lately? Hay! I hate those huge trucks and buses whose drivers feel like they own the road. Same goes with those horribly careless jeepney drivers I share the road with when I drive after 9am. Geez! The only time I get to cruise EDSA's at 6-8am when driving's a breeze. hehehe

Oh, mom's here. I feel like swimming today, I think I'm going to drag her to Cavite.

Ciao.

Tagged

I've noticed Don's comment on one of my previous entries earlier but I was too preoccupied with other things then. Anyway, here's my life's top 10 simple pleasures:

Having my fill of great food, it doesn't matter whether it be street food (turon, carioca, isaw, kwekwek, dirty icecream, green mangoes with bagoong, candied/fresh ripe tamarind, etc.) Chinese food (DIMSUM above all else), seafood, a simple home-cooked meal or something from a new place I discovered with him.)

A good night's sleep which is now a rarity.

Sunday lunch/dinner with the whole family.

A relaxing trip to the beach or even a dip in a pool.

Receiving letters/packages from the mail. (snail mail rocks!)

Discovering new places, learning new things, meeting more friends. Making the world seem smaller.

Getting and giving out bone-crushing hugs.

Getting messages/phone calls/mail/presents/surprises/email.

Hanging out. It doesn't really matter where we go or what we talk about.

Hearing those three little words and knowing for sure that it was said with sincerity.

Hmm... sobrang obvious na lonely a..

I'm still not back to my abnormally perky self and I really can't think of a list of people to tag, so if you're reading this and you feel like coming up with a list yourself, then by all means, do so.

Clueless

That was how I felt when the speaker started babbling about bad debts, marketable securities, NVR, and everything accounting during Sunday's workshop. My thoughts ended up flying elsewhere. I couldn't help it. And I bet I wasn't alone. It just became interesting when FOB came into the picture and the once oddly quiet room, sprung into life after the "shipping/import/export experts" started questioning the proper inclusions of goods in transport (which, err.. you might have guessed, wasn't really an important part of the topic) Hay nako! Pero shempre, once a person hears something familiar during a dull and boring lecture, it catches his attention and keeps him on his feet. Pero if I were them, I wouldn't dare interrupt and embarrass the lecturer who, just gave an example just so she could show her point. She handled it gracefully though, so much better than I would have taken it if I were in her shoes. The Accounting workshop didn't end that afternoon though. Second part's this Sunday. Hayayay! You have no idea how fervently I'm praying for a take-home quiz instead of having it there. Hirap kasi. At least at home, I have my dad, plus I'd have more time to think. hehehe :)

I felt the same thing when I saw a dent by the passenger window of the car after having lunch that same day. A girl, probably a few years older than I am, who seemed to be a sampaguita vendor as well, asked me if she could look after the car, I declined because I didn't want to waste her time since I was only carrying P50 then and I was afraid that I won't be able to give her anything when I get back (buti na lang lunch was just P38! phew!) is my only suspect of said vandalism. Hay! Ang labo! Hardly anybody here can take your honesty.

What happened late last week also left me confused and dumbfound. Okay. I don't get the point as to why it got out of proportions. We hardly got to exchange messages and opportunity to IM was limited but it still ended with me in a limbo. It's been almost a week now and he still hasn't decided on anything. Kung gusto, 'di gusto, kung ayaw, ayaw. Mahirap ba yon? At ako naman, bat ko pa ba siya inaantay? Hay!

And earlier, gosh, left me a headache! I really couldn't get to a fix for the bug. Geez! And I thought that the app was working perfectly before I left for home yesterday morning. Ack! Yes, I wasn't able to nap at work last night. :( Boohoo! Hopefully, we could crack it later. I'm now hating proggramatically created tables and calling them during function unrelated onclick events. Am I still making sense here?

I guess not, probably is time to doze off.

Pfft!

This week didn't turn out to be as great as I would have wanted it to be. Hay!

I really should start keeping a gratitude/blessings bloggy which'll hopefully lift my spirits up during times like this.

   Hayayay!

O sya, I'm extremely exhausted. tulog na... baboosh!
